Today we had a nice visit, a group of dolphins came to say hello!
It was also very hot in the afternoon with little wind. The Sun burned our thighs through our pants. So we installed the canvas between the dodger and the bimini to shade us.
probably dropped from a fishing boat, we saw a large net of at least 6x6 feet drifting less than 10 feet from the boat. Very happy not to have received it closer because we could have lost the engine. In the middle of an anticyclone, no wind, it's not very easy without an engine.
We also set our alarms so we should sleep better tonight. Alarms will sound if anything comes within 25, within 10 and within 2 nautical miles in addition to the AIS alarm which would sound if a boat's course met our course. So it will help us sleep better.
The oven, the burners, do not work. By chance, or foresight, you might say, I had brought a small portable camping hot plate on the boat, so we used it extensively to make hot meals on the ocean. Louis made us a shepherd's pie without potatoes, but it didn't go down well for me. So I went to bed early in the captain's bed and Louis in the saloon. It took me a while to fall asleep but afterwards (1-7am) I finally slept well!
