Tough night! We restarted the engine around midnight because we wanted to avoid battery problems. I started the night in the captain's bed, then helped Louis with the battery "tester". Everything works now. It's great because I don't really have the energy to keep up with the hours of time if the autopilot lets go.
I managed to fall asleep for an hour or two at dawn, but it's not enough, I'm really tired. I'm getting sick of it, but it's a beautiful day, we should arrive tomorrow around dinner time.
Even Louis says that for him it is difficult.
I really don't like having the wind on the port tack. I won't even pee in the boat anymore, because the toilet rebelled against me. She must have heard us talk about the empty space between the bowl and the seat and it gave her ideas. She threw my pee back at me. Let's say that in the state of mind I am in, I concede victory to it. I'm going to pee outside.
It's maybe 19-21 degrees. If the sun is present, it is hot without wind; with the wind, we are fine; without sun, it is cold/fresh.
Around 4 p.m., Louis sees a dolphin, not me. So I whisper, "go dolphin, just once, give me energy until tomorrow" and I see a little bit of him. It's not much, but at least I tell myself that I saw it.
And there, right there, he jumps next to the boat, he comes out completely, magnificent and a second time. Looks like he's racing the boat. He jumps a third time and I thank him out loud. Then I don't see him again. wow! It's like he heard me. It was really a beautiful moment.I then wanted to go to sleep and Louis told me that there would surely be less wind tonight. Yeah, I'm not so sure. Maybe, but not sure. The sun was coated in a big white halo and we wondered if it was the desert sand or not.
We go to bed, it's 6:30 p.m., we skip supper once again. Louis makes caned beans around 10:30 p.m., but I can't. I sleep on the bench seat and Louis in the saloon, we really hope there will be less wind/waves tonight! Since you have to think positive, this should be our last night on the ocean! Yeah!
